Clara Louisa was born 8 May 1897. Her parents were Louisa & Walter James. ^[1]

In 1916 she married Robert Archibald McCormack. ^[2]

As of 1919, Robert and Clara lived with Robert's parents in Deveron Street, Invercargill. They moved to Kamo, Whangarei by 1925, Robert worked as a painter.

She passed away 6 May 1997 age 99 and is buried at Waikumete. ^{[3] [4]}
