Betty Bannatyne De Burgh Persse, the daughter of De Burgh Persse and Fannie Collins, was born on 17 February 1910 at Queensland, Australia. [1] She was a twin to her sister Mary.
She married William Tuxford Howe on 29 June 1936 at Queensland.[2]

BRISBANE, Tuesday.--ln the family church of Tamrookum Beaudesert. Miss Betty Bannatyne de Burgh Persse was married to Lieut.-Col. William Tuxford Howe, of the Royal Signals.
The bridegroom is a British Army officer stationed in India. Miss Persse, who is the twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. de Burgh Persse, of Wyameyn, is related to Lady Gowrie through her father, who is a cousin.
The honeymoon will be spent on a cruise to Fiji, and thence to their home at Meerut. India.
The marriage was the outcome of a shipboard romance.[4]
Betty Bannatyne De Burgh (née Persse) Howe died on 28 March 1969 at Queensland.[5]
