Biography

Lydia Augusta Peter was born on 29 January 1882 in Stookey Township, St. Clair County, Illinois, daughter of Friedrich Peter (1838 - 1892) and Catherina (Briesacher) Peter (1842 - 1920).

Lydia married Gustav H. Pellmann (1876-1969), the son of Louis Pellmann and Wilhelmina Fritzsche, on 2 November 1911 at Concordia Evangelical Church in Stookey Township, St. Clair County, Illinois. (They had been granted a marriage license on 31 October from St. Clair County.)

Lydia died on 2 August 1955 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, St. Clair County, Illinois, aged 73. She was a resident of Rt. 1, Millstadt Township, St. Clair County, Illinois at the time.

Her funeral was held on 5 August 1955 at Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church with pastor Rev. Armin Maronn officiating.

Lydia was buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois.
