OBITUARY:

Ralph Thomas Peterson, Sr. of 29 Congress St. died Saturday, March 8, 2008. A native of Asheville he was a son of the late Matthew and Ola Jamerson Peterson, and husband of the late Elizabeth Q. Jones Peterson and Angerine Huff Peterson

Mr. Peterson was a US Army Veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his son, Ralph T. Peterson, Jr. of Corfu, NY; brother, James Peterson of Asheville; sister, Beatrice McGahee of Asheville, care giver, Ross Peterson Ann of Asheville; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wives, a daughter, Barbara Peterson; brothers, David and Robert Peterson; sisters, Elizabeth Peterson, Thelma Bristol and Beulah Smith.

Memorial Services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member. Rev. Roy Young will officiate.
