Biography
Constance was born in approximately 1275. In The visitation of the county of Cornwall, in the year 1620, the father of Constance is stated as James Peferell or Sir Hugh Peverell. She was married to Sir Richard Vyvian. Their sons are listed as Hugh, John, and William. Footnotes state that their daughters were Jane, Isabella, and Deyones (Dionysia). . [1]
Research note: At this point there does not appear to be a sourcce that supports Constance as the daughter of Richard Peverell. However, there was possibly a Richard Peverel. The 'Visitations' may be stating the name Hugh that was the father of Richard.
"The visitations of Cornwall: comprising the Heralds' visitations of 1530, 1573, & 1620" created by Vivian, J. L. (John Lambrick) 1830-1896 and the College of Arms (Great Britain), contains reproductions of the Herald's visits to Cornwall in addition to church and family records. A pedigree for the Vyvyans of Trevidren can be found on page 527 beginning with Ralph Vyvyan. [2]
Research Note: Richard Vyvian is indicated as having held lands in Trevenwyn (now possibly Trevennen, Wendron, Cornwall) of Josceus de Dynham, Inq p. m. 29 Edw I. No. 56 (ob 16 Nov 1331). He may also have paid Lay Subsidies - 1 Edw I. (Source confirmation needed here.)
