Sarah Pierson was born on December 4, 1683 in Southampton, Suffolk, Province of New York , daughter of Henry Pierson (~1652–1701) and Susannah Howell (1658–1716).
Sarah married Thomas Sanford (born on August 9, 1689 in Bridgehampton, Suffolk, New York; son of Ezekiel Sanford and Hannah (Mitchell) Sanford). Their children were:
