Dorothy was the daughter of Baldwin Picot, born around 1378.
Her father was born before 1361 when his father John died, and his mother Isabel died in 1375, when Baldwin succeeded to Cardington Manor. On Baldwin's death Dorothy was his sole heir and took the manor into the Gascoigne family.
