Biography

William B Piper was born on January 1, 1774, in Everett, Pennsylvania, his father, John, was 44 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 25. He married Catherine Orth on November 15, 1833, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. They had two children during their marriage. He died on February 1, 1852, in Hopewell, Pennsylvania, having lived a long life of 78 years, and was buried in Bedford, Pennsylvania.[1]

Notes

United States Congressman. He commanded a regiment during the War of 1812 and was adjutant general of Pennsylvania after the war. He served as a Democratic-Republican Congressman from Pennsylvania from 1811 to 1817. He died on his farm in Hopewell Township, Pennsylvania.
