Biography

King William Bradshaw Platts was born in 1859 in Coalville, Leicestershire, England, United Kingdom and baptised there as William Bradshaw Platts on 10 Apr 1860. He was the natural born son of Eliza Platts, a single woman. ^[1][2][3][4]

William's mother, Eliza Platts was later married to William Bradshaw. In 1881 the couple had seven Bradshaw children and William B Platts (21, a coalminer) living with them. ^[5]

William Bradshaw Platts (bachelor age 24, a miner, no father's name given) of Coalville and Mary Ann Ringrose (26, spinster) of 128 Willow Street, Leicester, the daughter of Thomas Ringrose, (FWK) were married on 12 Apr 1884 in Leicester, Leicestershire. Harriet Ann Bradshaw and Thomas Hawes were witnesses. ^[6][7]
