Biography
William H. Plows, son of John and Hannah (Porritt) Plows, was born on 20 Feb. 1851 in Skelderskew, Commondale, North Yorkshire, England.[1]
He married Hannah Mary Young, daughter of Matthew Young, on 17 July 1875 at at the parish church of Middleton in Yorkshire County, England.[1]
He married Ann Elizabeth Rawson, daughter of James and Susanna (Garbutt) Rawson, on 12 Aug. 1880 in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, England.[1]
William died on 5 July 1909 at Lucas, Lucas County, Iowa and was buried at Fry Hill Cemetery, Lucas, Lucas County, Iowa. His memorial has extensive biographical material, a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.[1]
