Madeleine Poitevine and Mathurin Corneau were the parents of Jean Moreau, of the parish of Boece in the bishopic of Luçon, Poitou (today Vendée), France.
Mathurin died sometime prior to his son Jean's marriage on 9 Nov 1695 since he was noted as deceased in connection with Jean's marriage.
Madeleine Poitevine's husband Mathurin Corneau (who was the father of Jean Corneau) was not the same as Mathurin Cornuau / Corneau, who was celibate when he married Fille de Roi Marie Marthe Payen / Payant. In addition, Madeleine Poitevine was not noted as deceased in connection with her son's marriage in 1695.
