Biography
Margaret was born about 1848 in Bangor, County Down, Ireland, the daughter of James Pollock, a farmer.
In 1880 she married James Montgomery in 2nd Presbyterian Church, Newtownards, County Down. He was a widower and a master mariner living in Bangor, County Down and she was also from Bangor. The witnesses were William Willans and Sarah F Pollock.[1]
She died at Castle Street, Bangor, County Down in 1899, aged 51 years, of chronic hepatitis and exhaustion. She was described as the widow of James Montgomery, a coal captain. Her death was registered by her sister Jenny Clancy of Bangor who was present at her death.[2]
