On 23 July 1855 at Gwennap, Cornwall, England, Ellen Potter married Samuel Snow (1833-1916). ^[2]

Upon their marriage, Samuel and Ellen (Potter) Snow emigrated from Cornwall, England, UK, to VIctoria Australia. Their first child: James Charles Snow, 1856 – 9 August 1887, was born in Beechwood, Victoria, Australia, in 1856. The couple had 12 other children between 1857 and 1896, first in Victoria, then in New South Wales, Australia. Samuel Snow was a mining engineer.

Samuel Snow passed away on 26 November 1916 in Hillgrove, N.S.W., Australia. Ellen survived his passing for another 3+ years. She passed away on 20 June 1920 in Hillgrove, N.S.W., Australia.
