Biography
I have not yet found the record for Marie Joseph's birth on the Archives of Mauritius. Her parents were Jacques and Marie Joseph Renaud(in?). The family must have moved to Seychelles as her father died and her brother, Eugéne, married there the year after she was. Their mother was not listed as deceased at the time of her marriage in 1812, but she was for his.
