George Priddle was born in Somerset, England.

George Frederick Priddle was born on 29 Aug 1846 in South Petherton, Somerset, England, son of George Priddle (1826–1893) and Ann Davies (<1822–1902).^[1]

In 1851, George (4) was living in household of George Priddle (24) in South Petherton in Yeovil registration district in Somerset with his mother, Ann (29); and his sister, Emma (2). ^[2]

George Priddle migrated from England to Australia.

On 18th April 1857, George Priddle (aged 10) boarded the ship Persia and set sail from Plymouth with his father George Priddle (aged 30), his mother Ann (35) and sister Emma (8), They sailed into the port of Geelong, Victoria, Australia on the 27th July 1857 ^[3]

George (22) married Mary Anne Hibbert (16) (born on 11 Feb 1852 in Indented Heads, Victoria; daughter of Samuel James Hibbert and Margaret Connor) in 1869 in Victoria. ^[4] Their children were:
