Biography
- Proal immigrated to the United States in 1800 after he a Protestant and was forced to leave France. He was a French teacher before becoming Professor of Spanish Language and Literature at Norwich University, where he taught from 1825 to April 1826. He is buried in Middletown, Connecticut.
