Biography
Grace was born about 1825. She passed away about 1905. She is the daughter of Thomas Proctor and Lucy Ann Spaderack. At her marriage, the witnesses were Addison Stitzer, Samuel P. Proctor and William Chapman; bondsman was Addison Stitzer. The only parent named was Lucy Ann Proctor.
Research Notes
There is a memorial at Find A Grave [39321229] in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville, Montgomery County, Maryland for a Gracie E. Lee, born unknown and died April 1908. It also shows buried April 13, 1908, no grave marker. Plot - Old Ground, Location Unknown. According to records, this cemetery dates back to Revolutionary War times; and in the index of a book on this cemetery, Lee is a surname listed. This may not be the Grace who married James, but the name and death years are quite close.
