Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Simms, 88, of 1703 N. Kingston Pl., an early-day Oklahoman, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Dawson Assembly of God. She died Friday at her home.
She was the widow of James Henry Simms, a retired farmer, who died in 1955 at the age of 99.
Mrs. Simms came to Oklahoma in 1909 after living at Forsythe, MO and Green Forest, AR. In 1928 she came to Tulsa where she was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alice Baker, 2012 N. Fulton Ave., and Mrs. Augusta Fitzgerald, 515 S. 90th E. Ave.; three sons, David L. Simms, 7223 E. Seminole St., George W. Simms, Rt. 1, Collinsville, and Tom Simms, 2107 N. Erie Ave.; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Timber Ridge Cemetery near Dawson with Moore funeral home in charge.
