Biography

Felix Oran Prunty, as he signed his name on his World War I draft registration, ^[1] was born at Union District, West Virginia, 20 Apr 1883, ^{[1] [2] [3]} the son of Marshall Neal Prunty and Flora Odell Lawson; ^[4] died at Newkirk, Oklahoma, 29 Aug 1967, ^{[3] [5]} and is buried in the Newkirk Cemetery. ^[5]

He met or married (see research notes), before 15 Nov 1904, Nancy Lou "Babe" Haught. ^[6] He married (2) about 1911, Ada Maud Knight. ^{[7] [8]}

Oil field superintendent for Blackwell Oil & Gas Company ^{[1] [7] [9]} and overseer (farms) ^[10] at Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Research Notes

According to a note on their daughter's FindAGrave memorial, Felix Prunty and Nancy Haught were never married, ^[11] but, if that is so, why is her birth record recorded under the surname "Prunty"? ^[12]
