Ron Purdy was the son of Carey Alonzo Purdy, mariner and Minnie Gertrude Vanwart Ronald Claude Purdy was born in either Cambridge or Jemseg in Queens County New Brunswick on July 19, 1895. There are two entries for him in the official
RECORD OF BIRTHS Page Number 13 Line 535 Ronald Claude Percy his father Carey Alonzo Purdy mariner his mother Minnie Gertrude Vanwart Place Cambridge Queens County The same line states the above information was provided on November 7, 1897 by Dr Casswell along with about 10 other births.
On Page Number 17 of the same RECORD OF BIRTHS Line 614 Ronald Claude Percy his father Carey Alonzo Purdy mariner his mother Minnie Gertrude Vanwart (MacDonald is listed on his Marriage Certificate in NB Archives not Vanwart) Place Jemseg, Queens County The same line states the above information was provided by a clergyman A.J. Gallagher on April 17, 1897 along with several other births.
The Marriage Certificate in NB Archives gives the name Ronald married Stella Muriel Wiggins of Youngs Cove in Queens County, NB, on June 4, 1919. She was the daughter of Thomas M Wiggins, no mother is listed. The witnesses were H.L. Wiggins and Victor Wiggins of Youngs Cove. Clergy was H.H. Gillies of Youngs Cove, Church of England. Their ages are not listed in the certificate on the archives file. Ronald gave his address as 38 Victoria Stree in Saint John, NB. His occupation was Commercial Traveler. They had a son also but I cannot get any details from the archives. Their daughter Cynthia Bernice Purdy married Wallace H McLeod, who was the brother of Peter Eugene McLeod who is completing this family tree.

I remember that Ron Purdy, a resident of Apohaqui, was an active Insurance salesman in Kings and Queens Counties, in New Brunswick, and that he appeared to know everybody by first name . He was the father of my brother Wallace H McLeod's wife, Cynthia, who was nicknamed by Wallace as Bunny. It is a coincidence that years later I married a lady nicknamed Bonnie.
