David Puryear was born in 1806 in Virginia, United States, son of Elijah Puryear (~1780–~1836) and Elizabeth Overton (~1780–<1860).
David (25) married Nancy Young (15) (born on May 20, 1816 in Wilson, Tennessee; daughter of David Young Sr. and Sarah (Phillips) Young) on March 7, 1832 in Wilson, Tennessee. [1]
