Biography

Henry was baptized on 18 Apr 1886 in the Lutheran faith.

EXPLANATION for NAME CHANGES

Heinrich was born to German parents whom placed an emphasis on their children's baptism. The Rück Family Bible has all the information on when they were baptized and includes some of their baptism certificates. The parents spoke and wrote German within the household. This is why Heinrich is the legal name with Henry, the American translation, is listed as his AKA.

The birth record recorded on page 173, line 106; the name appears as Henry Rick being born on 15 Jul 1872. His father is listed as John J Rick with his mother listed as Caroline Miller. I have not used the birth name of Rick because the Rück Family Bible specifically states his name is Rück. The Rick is a translation from German to English.

From the information and speaking to direct descendants, it is clear the Henry was the owner of a drug store in the beginning of his work career. Vaults being sold were for burial, commonly referred to as caskets.
