Biography
William Ramsey was born on June 3, 1775 in Springhill Twp., Fayette Co., Pa to Thomas Ramsey and Mary Elizabeth Cross. He married Nancy Cross in Pennsylvania.
War of 1812, private, served with brothers-in-law William and Richard Cross in Capt Robert Morrison's Co, 29 July to 8 Sep 1813; William and Nancy lived for serval years in Washington Co, OH; about 1811 they moved to the Winchester-Fincastle area of Adams Co, OH; their last residence was on Cross Street A in Winchester; they are buried in unmarked graves in the old section of Winchester Cem.
