Michael was born in 1611. He was the son of Georges Raspiller and Appolonia Sigwart. He was Maître Verrier (Master glass maker). He founded the Rotwasser glassworks in 1634 with 8 other glassmakers, and he founded the glassworks of the abbey of St Blasien. He passed away about 1669.
