Biography

William was born about 1880 in St Thomas, Elgin, Ontario,[1]

In the 1891 census William (age 10) was in St Thomas, Elgin East, Ontario, Canada.[2]

In the 1901 census William (age 20) was the single son of Frederick Raven in Elgin (east/est), Ontario, Canada.[3]

He married Jennie Rudd in Middlesex, Ontario about 1905[4]

In the 1911 census William was the married head of household in Lambton West Sub-Districts 38-60, Ontario, Canada.[5]

William and Jennie had four children: [6]

Rena Isabella (Raven) Mcindoo born 1907[7]
John Roche Raven 1910-1937[8]
William Frederick Raven born 1912.[9]
Robert George Raven 1915-1996

Jennie died on 19 January 1919 in Windsor, Essex, Ontario.[10]

In 1921 William and his children were living at 306 Argyle Rd, Essex North, Ontario. He was 42, widowed and working as an Electrician for the Ford Motor company. Others in the household were: Mary Paro (age 57), Isabel Raven (age 13), John Raven (age11), William Raven (age 8) and Robert Raven (age 6).[6]

William married again on 7th October, 1924. This time to Hannah Elizabeth Stagg at St Thomas, Elgin, Ontario[11]

William immigrated on 6 August 1951 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States, final destination being Homestead, Dade, Florida.[12]
