Biography
Sarah Reed was born about 1760, a daughter of John Reed and Mary Hutchinson, both of Ireland. Sarah and her brother Joseph probably were twins, born at sea on their parents' emigration route to North America.
Sarah Reed married first, in 1782, James Dunn (ca. 1758 - 1811). There were several children of this family, these of whom are documented, all born in Monongalia, (West) Virginia:
- Mary Dunn, 10 July 1783 – 27 February 1871; married Owen Hawker
- Jane Dunn, 13 February 1785 – 21 March 1863; married Larkin Pierpoint
- Thomas Larkin Dunn, 7 January 1787 – 1 January 1874; married Temperance Pierpoint [1]
- John Dunn, 1 September 1788 – 4 June 1865 [2]
- Martha Dunn, 1801 – 30 October 1874; married Charles Hayes
Per the caption of her online memorial site, after her first husband died (about 1811), Sarah married second, in 1818, Monongalia County, Virginia, John Baker.
Sarah (Reed) (Dunn) Baker passed away after 25 November 1839 (the date that John Baker's estate was settled [3]) in Monongalia County, West Virginia. Her grave is in Baker Cemetery, Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia, USA [4].
Notes
Two census records from Monongalia County, WV, in 1830 and 1840 may pertain to this Sarah Reed, however the association is weak because they do not carry either of her married names [5],[6].

Reed-15445 and Reed-2684 appear to represent the same person because: information in Sarah's fathers Will confirm her maiden name and relationship to the Reed Family. Surname in her father's will is named as Duna, although various other online sources state Dunn.
