In the 1891 census, William (age 58), Railway Porter, was the married head of household in Chard, Somerset, England. Only his wife is in residence. [8] She died two year later.
William's death (age 67) was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1900 in the Chard district.[9] Inscription Headstone (surmounted by a cross). Emele REED, died 4 June 1893, at Reading, aged 57. And her husband, William Reed, died 1 May 1900, aged 69. Also their son, William Henry Reed, died 21 Dec 1878, aged 14 years. And their son, Edward Stanley, died 17 May 1869, aged 10 months.[10]
