Note: Some sources claim (generally citing Critchley) that the father of Gaetano "Tommy" Reina, and his siblings Antonio and Bernarda, is named Giacomo, and is married to Carmela Rumore. No original records supporting this claim have been discovered. The closest match for Gaetano found in the baptismal records for Corleone is the son of Bernardo Riina and Giuseppa Zabbia.
Bernardo Riina is a Corleone native resident, the son of Gaetano Riina and Lucia Bartolotta.
Bernardo marries Giuseppa Zabbia, daughter of Giuseppe Zabbia and Rosa Pennino, on 10 February 1889. His father has died by this time.[1]
Bernardo and Giuseppa have at least two children, Gaetano (1890) and Lucia (1891).
Gaetano is born 25 September 1890 and baptized four days later, named after his paternal grandfather. His godfather is Bernardo di Nino.[2]
Lucia is born and baptized 25 November 1891, named after her paternal grandmother. Her godfather is Gioachino di Carlo, who is unmarried.[3]
A margin note on her baptismal record says Lucia marries in Palermo in the Brancaccio parish on 9 October 1911, to Salvatore Viola, son of Pasquale.[3]
