David Nicolaus Reinhard was born in Weißensee. He started his studies at the University of Jena in 1651. From 1661, he was a deacon at Gebesee. He married Anna Elisabeth Bötticher of Nordhausen with whom he had at least seven children. The family lived in Sondershausen where he served as archdeacon from 1663. He passed away in 1682.
