Obituary: Samuel R. Ribok, 91, of Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of Marblehead, died December 31, 2006, at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Fla. Born in Chelsea, he graduated from Boston English High School and received a degree in engineering from Tufts University. He had resided in Florida for 16 years and had formerly lived in Marblehead for 26 years. Mr. Ribok was involved in real estate development and management throughout eastern Massachusetts. He was active with the Tufts Alumni Association. He was philanthropic in many ways during his life, and he was a member of the Morning Minyan Group at Temple Israel and its Brotherhood. Mrs. Ribok was the beloved husband of Sylvia (Schiff) Ribok; father of Charles, husband of Nancy Ribok, of Wenham and Barbara Goldberg of Marblehead; brother of Helen Kessel of Salem and Delray Beach, Fla., Frances Sitrin of Sunrise, Fla. and the late Mildred Freedman; and grandfather of Daniel Goldberg, Jeffrey, husband of Maria Goldberg, Leonard Ribok and Danelle Rose Ribok. Services were held January 5 at noon from the Stanetksy-Hymanson Memorial Chapel of Salem. Memorial observance will be held Friday, January 5, until sundown, Saturday evening and Sunday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the home of Barbara Goldberg. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
