Margaret Rice was born in June 1839 in Shelby Co., Indiana She was daughter of James S Rice and Sarah Ann Brown Rice

Her father, James S Rice died 20 May 1887 in Thomastown, Wadena, MN

She married Almon Lampman about 1857 (an 1864 civil war veteran) while her family lived in Dane County before moving to the Albion township with her husband and her own parents and siblings before 1870.

Although her parents and some siblings moved on to Wadena Co., Minnesota before 1900, two of her Uncles (civil war veterans) Obadiah H Rice and John Rice are also buried in Hamlin cemetery.

Almon and Margaret had at least the following children:
