Biography
Hubert Lloyd Rice was born on 27 February 1921[1] in Geraldine, Chouteau County, Montana. His parents were William Perry Rice and Blanch Annetta Hackett, both of Eagle Butte, Choteau County, Montana.[2]
In 1930, nine-year-old Hubert was living with his parents and four siblings in North Silverton, Marion County, Oregon.[3]
In 1940, nineteen-year-old Hubert was living on his own and working as a farmer in Bull Lake, Lincoln County, Montana.[4]
Hubert, who claimed his age was 23, married Alice Irene Loveless on 22 March 1941 in Lincoln County, Montana.[5] They had the following children:
On 20 November 1945, Hubert enlisted in the United States Army.[8]
At age 24, Hubert married Lorraine Augusta Verchueran,[9] age 21 of Hart, Oceana County, Michigan, on 23 November 1945 in Havre, Hill County, Montana.[10]
Hubert served in the United States Army in Korea and lost his life during a military flight.
Hubert passed away at age 41 in March 1962[1] in the western Pacific Ocean.[11][12] While his body was never found, he has a marker at Fort Leonard Wood Post Cemetery in Fort Leonard Wood , Pulaski County, Missouri. [13][14]
