Biography

Ann Richards was born in about 1812 in Godaming. She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Richards. She was christened on 13 Jun 1813 at St Peter and St Paul's Church in Godalming. The family's address was given as Mead Row, and her father's occupation as butcher.

Ann married James Edwards on 4 Jun 1832 at Saint Olave, Southwark, Surrey.

James died on 17 Sep 1865, aged 55 (according to his gravestone) or 56 (according to the burial record), at his home in Godalming High Street. He was buried on 21 Sep 1865 in Nightingale Cemetery, Godalming, in the consecrated section. No-one else was buried in the same grave.

Ann died on 27 Jul 1875, aged 63, at her home in Godalming High Street. She was buried on 29 Jul 1875 in Nightingale Cemetery, Godalming, in the consecrated section.
