Thomas was born in Virginia, South Australia during 1859. He is the son of William Ridgway and Susannah Timms. He passed away in North Adelaide, South Australia during 1942.

Thomas was born in Virginia, South Australia on 10 June 1859 to William Ridgway and Susannah Timms.^[1]

Thomas married Sarah Elizabeth Fox in Kensington, South Australia on 26 August 1886. ^[2]

After Sarah's death in 1907, Thomas married Annie Darby in Pinery, South Australia on 20 December 1924.^[3]

Thomas died in North Adelaide, South Australia on 2 April 1942 at the age of 82 years. ^[4] The following death notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Advertiser, on 3 April 1942:^[5]

RIDGWAY. —On April 2, at private hospital. Thomas beloved husband of Annie Ridgway. late of 12 Martin av., Fitzroy.

Thomas was buried at the Carclew Primitive Methodist Cemetery which is now located in Penfield Gardens, South Australia on 3 April 1942.^[6]
