Biography

Margaret B Riggle "Maggie" was born on May 13, 1845 in Coshocton County, Ohio.[1] She was the daughter of Michael Riegel and Sarah Eliabeth Bensinger. At age 5, she was in her parent's, Michael and Sarah's home in Adams Twp., Coshocton County, Ohio, along with 8 siblings.[2]
She married Alexander Finton (1843-1923) on April 7, 1870 in Coshocton County, Ohio.[3][1]They had 4 known children.

  2. Minnie Amanda (Finton) Mizer (1872-1950)[4]
  3. William Merit Finton (1879-) m. Zelma S Norris 1900.[5]
  4. Charles Clifford Finton (1884-1936)[6]
They Made their home in Adams, Coshocton County, Ohio where Alexander was a farmer.[7] In 1880, Alexander was farming, their home place in Adams, and Margaret was taking care of the home and Amanda-7 and William age 1.[8]
By 1900 they were living in Jefferson Twp., Tuscarawas County, Ohio, where by then only charles age 16, was in the household.[9] They were back in Adams, Coshocton, Ohio in 1910.[10]
She died on December 27, 1923, at the age of 78, in Bakersville, Coshocton County, Ohio,[11] and was buried in the Bakersville Cemetery.[1]
