Biography
Johann Heinrich Riggert was born at Barum, Uelzen, on 13 December 1868 as son of teacher Johann Heinrich Riggert and his wife Catharina Dorothea nee Marquart. In 1884, he emigrated to the United States. He became a banker and merchant, settling in Loganville where on 3 March 1897, he married Dorothea Susanna Katharina Elisabeth Schuette with whom he had two daughters. Widowed in 1936, he died at Loganville on 10 February 1956.[1] He was buried at Saint Peters Lutheran Cemetery in Loganville.[2]
