Clarence was born on 7 November 1901 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was the eldest son of William Ringeisen and Sophia Hotz.[1] He grew up on a farm an easy distance from his Uncle John Ringeisen's farm in McCandless Township.[2] As with Clarence's brothers, Ralph Ringheisen and Adlowe Ringeisen, proximity to their cousin, Nelson Ringeisen, forged bonds that lasted their entire lives. [3]
By the time of the 1920 Census, he worked as a farm laborer himself.[4]
Clarence married Harriet Alice Gosnell on 1 June 1926 at the Butler County Courthouse, Butler, Pennsylvania.[5] The couple made their home in McCandless next door to Ralph Ringheisen. Clarence became a truck driver for a transfer company. Their son, William Ringeisen named for Clarence's father, followed in 1929.[6]
Clarence lived in the same area until he passed away on 2 December 1991.[7][8]
