William was born about 1800 (based on 1850 Census.) [1] He died before 1880. When the 1880 Census was taken, his wife was a widowed Head of Household.[2]
William married Nancy James in 1823 in Wilkes, North Carolina.[3]

Gap explored between the oldest Sarah born 1826 and the next born 1833 as listed by Jimmie Lee Robins on his site http://www.tworobins.com/robins.php. Hand written notes of George T. Robbins Sr. states one sister of his grandfather Reuben George a.k.a. George Berry Robins married a Ross and one married a Hicks. Found that William Berry Robbins' daughter Sarah married John Ross and Fannie married William Asbury Hicks, a descendant of Drowning Bear of the Eastern Cherokee Nation.
Sarah born 1826 listed as married to John Ross in the Centerary Baptist Church Cemetery of Blount County, Tennessee confirmed birth date listed on tworobins website. It also confirmed a brother named John Robbins born 1830 not listed by the tworobins web site but mentioned by my great grandfather. Sarah did not marry until later in life and it was to a much older man who was almost her father's age so was on the 1850 census used by Jimmie Lee Robins while her younger siblings that were old enough to marry and not on the 1850 census with William were virtually unknown until now.
