Biography
Betty was born in Ruardean in 1746, the daughter of Daniel and Sarah Roberts. She married George Stephens in 1767 at Ruardean. They both 'marked' rather than signed their names in the marriage register, as did one of their witnesses, Betty's father, Daniel.
