Elizabeth was born about 1755.
Elizabeth Robertson James is the sister of John Robertson. She and her husband, Joseph James are selling the 200 acres of the land that she inherited from her father, William Robertson to the heirs of her brother, John Robertson. This land was on the beech fork part of the 1000 acres owned by William Robertson in Nelson County, Kentucky.
The heirs are as follows: Sam'l Handly and his wife, Elizabeth (Robertson) William N Robertson Richard P Robertson Cornelius Bodine and his wife, Gilly (Robertson) Andrew Briggs and his wife, Nancy (Robertson) Matilda Robertson John M Robertson Handley Robertson Cyrus Robertson
The land was sold 31 March (or 31 May) 1817 and the deed recorded 2 June 1817.

The will was signed 14 March 1796 and proved 12 July 1796.
He names his wife, Mary, and children, John and Elizabeth. He also specifies that a debt is to be paid to William Reid of Scotland. He names Elizabeth's husband, Joseph James.
He also names slaves that are to be given to his wife and children as follows: Sarah (and 4 unnamed children) to his wife, Ben and George to his son, Sam, Leah and George to his daughter.
