Biography
Mary was born in 1849. She was the daughter of Robinson-63852 and with father possibly Parkin-1995. She passed away in 1902.
Because there had been no official proof of her parentage (i.e. who was her father) CR ordered the birth certificate in March 2024. This was registered at Doncaster with sub district Campsall. It shows that she was indeed born 28 Feb 1849 at Moss, Yorkshire, named Mary, a girl. The section for name and surname of her father is left blank. Her Mother was Sarah Robinson. The section for Occupation of Father is left blank. The section for Signature, description and residence of informant has X The mark of Sarah Robinson, Mother, of Moss. The birth was registered 31 March 1849. The Registrar was John Parish. Possible copyright issues are preventing the image being added here. Of course Richard Parkin remains as the most likely candidate to have been her biological father but this certificate leaves doubts.

1851 census aged 2, with parents under the Parkin name.
1860 US Federal Census aged 1 according to original document but should be 11, with parents.
1870 US Federal Census aged 21, with husband and child.
