Helene W. Murphy

Helene W. Murphy, 95, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008. She was a resident of Punta Gorda, Fla., and a former resident of Indianapolis.

Survivors include a son, Stephen (Cynthia) Murphy of Punta Gorda; a sister, Evelyn Gaydos of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Kathryn (Dahlbach) Rodewald; two sisters; and two brothers.

A service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave. in Indianapolis, and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, 4702 S. East St., Indianapolis, IN 46227.
