Clarissa was born 1815/6, d. 1816.
She was the daughter of Azel Roe (1779-1831) and Nancy Jones (1784-1858), who married 18 Feb 1812.
Obituary. Mrs. Clarissa Davis
Coram, L.I. July 3- Mrs. Clarissa Davis died yesterday, aged 84 years, She was the window of Lester H. Davis, who was once a large farmer and prominent in business and political affairs of the town and county, and one time was county treasurer. Mrs. Davis was married on October 19, 1836, and had twelve children, ten of whom lived to grow up. She was a native of Port Jefferson and by birth a member of the Roe family that was descended from one of the first settlers of Brookhaven Town, 240 years ago. The funeral will be from the family residence here tomorrow afternoon and the interment in the family plot in Union Cemetery, at Middle Island.[1]
