The 1930 US Census of Worcester, Worcester, Massachusetts finds this Edward at the age of 6yrs old and given as born in Massachusetts. He is living there in Worcester at 14 "Wesdale" (sic) St. with his 30yr old widowed mother, Elizabeth Rolfe and his (Edward's) three siblings; 12yr old Ellen, 10yr old Jennie and 8yr old Minnie.[1]
The 1940 US Census of Worcester, Worcester, Massachusetts finds this Edward M. at the age of 16yrs old and given as a "new worker," born in Massachusetts. He is living there in Worcester at 14 Westdale St., with his 40yr old widowed mother, Elizabeth Rolfe and two of his sisters; 20yr old Jean B., and 18yr old Amelia K.[2]

Mr Edward M Rolfe, 71
WORCESTER - Edward M. Rolfe, 71, of 14 Westdale St., a bartender and former commercial artist, died Saturday at home after an illness.
He leaves two sisters, Jeanne Perkins and Katherine Rolfe, both of Worcester, with whom he lived; a niece; several grandnephews; and a grandniece. He was born in Worcester, son of Mikadom and Elizabeth (Povilaitis) Rolfe, and lived here most of his life.
He graduated from Wagner School of Art in Boston.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army Air Force in Europe, including Foggia, Italy.
Mr. Rolfe was once a commercial artist at Wyman-Gordon Co. He was later a bartender at the Driftwood Restaurant in Shrewsbury and the Shrewsbury Squash & Tennis Club.
He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, the Amvets and the 455th Bomb Group Association. He was a member of Vernon Hill Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars; and Chester P. Tuttle Post 279, American Legion, in Auburn.
