Elisha was born in 1784 in Schoharie Co,. New York (per gravestone inscription). He was a carpenter. He married first to _____ _____, then second, about 1823, to Amelia Hawes. He passed away in 1865 and is buried with his wife at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Henryville (Blue Lick?), Clark County, Indiana.

He served from Schoharie in the War of 1812.
