Biography

Elizabeth was born on 19 May 1906 in Auburn, Cayuga, New York the daughter of Edward and Cora (Shank) Ross.

She married Dwight Barnum. There are no known children from this marriage.

Elizabeth died on 7 Nov 2000 in Syracuse, Onondaga, New York and is buried with her husband in the Oakwood Cemetery, in that community.^[1]

Obituary

Elizabeth Ross Barnum, 94, of Syracuse died Tuesday (Nov. 7) at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Auburn. She was a graduate of Goodyear-Burlingame School and a 1928 graduate of Syracuse University, and received a graduate certificate from the University of Buffalo School of Social Work. She retired in 1969 as a psychiatric social worker after 30 years with the New York State Department of Mental Hygiene. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, a member of the board of directors of the former Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a former member of the board of directors of the Huntington Family Centers, Syracuse. Her husband, Dwight S., died in 1966. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse.^[2]
