Harrison Washington Rothrock was the ninth of twelve known children of Henry Peter Rothrock (1792-1871) and Lydia Marshall Bounds (1807-1879), who married 15 Jul 1824 at Crawford County, Indiana. In the 1880 census Harrison was listed as G.W. Rothrock, thus was he Harrison George Washington Rothrock?

Harrison married for the first time to Alice Gertrude Miles (1849-1875) on 16 Jul 1865 near Wyandotte but in Harrison County, Indiana. Harrison and Alice were the parents of four known children, namely:

1. Orral M. Rothrock (1867-1867) 2. Frank Miles Rothrock (1870-1957) 3. Lydia Katherine Rothrock Sibert (1872-1938) 4. un-named daughter Rothrock (???-young)

After Alice died, Harrison remarried to Hattie (was she really Harriett?) B. Thornbury (1836-1903) on 04 Sep 1879 at Crawford County, Indiana. Harrison and Hattie raised one child, namely:

Cordia William Rothrock (1883-1975)

Cordia (went by Cordie) was the son of a cousin of Harrison, namely William "Bill" M. Rothrock (1858-1923) and Bill's first wife, who died young. Cordie was either adopted or just raised by Harrison and Hattie. See Find-A-Grave memorial #68853928 for more information on Cordie.

At the time of the 1900 census, Hattie said she was the mother of none, thus Cordia was not her birth son. In 1920 the widower Harrison was living with his daughter Lydia and her family at Colfax, Whitman County, Washington.
