Biography

Nathan Roulston migrated from Ireland to New Zealand.

Nathan was born in 1864. He was the son of David Roulston and Elizabeth Irvine. Nathan's birth was registered in 1864 in the Castlederg Superintendent Registrar's District.^[1]

• Census record confirms date and location
• No Ireland death record for any Nathan Roulston and he doesn't appear in the 1901 census, suggesting emigration.
• Record found by accident while research other Farquhars with a Roulston connection.

He emigrated to New Zealand before 1885.

Nathan worked as a guard on the railways and the family moved around from Otago to the West Coast, Wanganui and finally to Auckland. ^[2]
