Biography

Home Rushworth was born 19 November 1820 and was privately baptised on 1 December 1820 at Lancing, Sussex^[1]. He was the son of Charles Rushworth and Mary Home.

His mother Mary died on 23 May 1841.

In the 1841 England Census, Home Rushworth (aged 20) was recorded living with his widowed father Charles Powlett Rushworth (50) and his siblings Jane Rushworth (24), Edward Rushworth (20), Catherine Rushworth (20), Horatia Ann Rushworth (15), Harriet Rushworth (14), Rosermond Rushworth (10) and Frederica Rushworth (4) at Queen Anne Street, St. Marylebone, Middlesex. Also in the household were six household staff.

Home emigrated from England to Australia, where he died in Victoria on 12 April 1872, probably unmarried. He was buried at Mortlake Cemetery, Mortlake, Moyne Shire, Victoria, Australia^[2].
