He was a native of Cambridge
He was admitted to St Catharine's, Cambridge in 1644. B.A. 1646-7; M.A. from Christ's, 1650; B.D. 1658; D.D. (perhaps incorp. 1566, from Trinity College, Dublin). Fellow of Christ's, 1649-59. [1]
He was invited into Ireland by Bishop Jeremy Taylor, and was ordained Deacon and Priest on the same day, 7 May 1661. He was presented to the deanery of Connor by patent dated 3 August 1661, and was instituted on 31st August . (FF.)
Rector of Island Magee, 1662. Rector of Lisbum, 1664.
Advanced to the bishopric of Dromore by patent dated 8 November 1667. [Lib. Mun.] His character stands high for ability, learning, eloquence, and piety.
He died in December, 1670, and was buried in Dromore cathedral.
